The visit marks their first trip to Kyiv since the war began, underscoring the symbolic weight of the timing: the envoys are arriving in a city that has endured near-constant missile and drone bombardment for over four years.

Zelensky Signals Readiness

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed he had convened his negotiating team ahead of the meeting with the American delegation. In a post on Telegram, he framed Ukraine’s posture as both constructive and firm:
