Harry Styles delivers sharp critique of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during SNL monologue following arrest

Harry Styles launched a pointed jab at Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor during his recent Saturday Night Live appearance, capitalizing on the ex-Prince’s recent arrest in connection with an Epstein-related investigation.

The 32-year-old musician made a return to the NBC sketch comedy show after his latest album secured top chart position, marking his second stint as host. In his opening remarks, Styles humorously addressed his extended hiatus from public life, joking that he had grown ‘tremendously boring’ during the time away.

He contrasted his low-key lifestyle with the intense media attention Andrew faced, referencing the latter’s public scandal linked to Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew, once eighth in line to the throne, was taken into custody last month on charges of misconduct in public office, allegedly for sharing sensitive data while serving as a UK trade envoy.

“I took up jogging. There’s nothing interesting about that. But because I’m me, people pretend to find that interesting. I don’t run to be interesting. I do it for the feeling it gives me, that runner’s high. It’s just amazing,” Styles quipped.

“Watermelon sugar high, runner’s high. And if that doesn’t do it for you, I also love ecstasy. As a British man who spent a lot of his life in the public eye, I can assure you, there’s something nice about being boring. It’s better than the alternative.”

During the monologue, a visual of Andrew in a police car following his arrest was displayed, underscoring the irony of his situation. After being forced out of the Royal Lodge due to his Epstein ties, Andrew was detained at his Wood Farm cottage on his 66th birthday. He spent approximately 10 hours at Aylsham Police Station before his release.

The incident has sparked speculation that the UK Government may propose legal measures to remove Andrew from the royal succession. Meanwhile, Styles took aim at politically correct fans who accused him of ‘queerbaiting’—a tactic involving hints at same-sex relationships to appeal to diverse audiences.

Reflecting on past criticisms, Styles humorously recalled: “Back then, people seemed to pay a lot of attention to the clothes I was wearing and some people accused me of something called ‘queerbaiting.'” He then exaggerated his response with a dramatic howl: “But did it ever occur to you that maybe you don’t know everything about me, Dad?”

The segment culminated in a playful flirty sequence tied to his new solo album, Kiss All the Time. Styles humorously declared his affection for the title, asking: “Which I don’t actually do. I don’t wanna kiss all the time,” as Chloe Fineman eagerly climbed onstage.

Later, Sarah Sherman joined the scene as Styles remarked: “Sometimes kissing can be great,” prompting her to exit with a sense of embarrassment. The exchange reached its peak when Ben Marshall reappeared, and Styles playfully retracted his earlier statement: “Come on, Ben, everyone knows there’s nothing little about that thang. You’re hauling a damn wagon back there.”
