During the same incident, additional Israeli soldiers directed their rifles toward the CNN filming crew and detained several members of the team. The confrontation was particularly notable because one soldier who addressed CNN cameras on camera spoke about seeking “revenge” against Palestinians. That particular soldier was dismissed from the IDF at the time of the incident, representing a separate disciplinary action from the case involving Theophilos.
