Primrose Hill Stab Victim ‘Will Never Be Replaced’
A Young Filmmaker’s Life Cut Short in London
Christopher Sullivan, father of 21-year-old film student Finbar Sullivan, described his son as a “beautiful, outgoing, and affectionate young man” after the tragic stabbing that claimed his life in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near the park’s viewing point, a popular spot in north London, around 18:30 BST on Tuesday. Finbar was fatally wounded during a confrontation, leaving his family in profound grief.
According to the Daily Mail, Finbar was using a camera gifted to him for his birthday when the attack happened. His passion for filmmaking was inspired by his grandfather, Michael Seresin, who contributed to iconic films such as *Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban* and *Rambo III*. Sullivan emphasized that his son’s dreams of becoming a cameraman remain unfulfilled, calling the tragedy “the worst I could ever imagine.”
“He was not a gang member, but a groovy 21-year-old who loved movies and making films,” Sullivan told the newspaper. He added that Finbar was his only son, highlighting the deep personal loss.
Ellen Kinnally, a PR professional from New York and Finbar’s friend, shared insights about his recent health struggles. She noted that the young man had been unwell, with his eyesight impacted, but was “getting better” before the incident. “Everyone was so worried about him,” she said, underscoring the emotional weight of his condition.
During the altercation, a second individual in his early 20s sustained non-life-threatening stab wounds and was hospitalized. The Metropolitan Police has launched an appeal for witnesses, urging anyone with footage or information from the scene to come forward. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
