Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing
21-Year-Old Film Student Fatally Injured
A 21-year-old film student, Finbar Sullivan, died after being stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near a scenic overlook in north London on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, from Southbury Road, Enfield, was arrested on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday.
Ogunyankinnu is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of aiding the offender has been released without further action. The police indicated the investigation is still in progress.
Another individual in his 20s was found with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road nearby. He was hospitalized with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. His condition is being monitored as the case continues.
“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” shared Chris Sullivan, 65, Finbar’s father, speaking to BBC London.
Sullivan, known to loved ones as Fin, was a student at the London Screen Academy. The community mourns the loss of a young man described as a source of inspiration and unity. Updates on the case will be provided as the judicial process unfolds.
