Since their first appearance on *Made in Chelsea*, Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s relationship has been under the spotlight, with fans closely following every aspect of their lives. Now, the couple is embracing another stage of their journey—parenthood—through a three-part documentary titled *Raising Chelsea*. The series captures their efforts to conceive, the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy, and the early days of raising a child.

For many, the idea of broadcasting such personal moments, including the birth of their child, might seem extreme. Yet for Laing and Habboo, it felt like a natural progression. “Everyone’s used to watching our growth, so documenting this felt like an extension of the connection we’ve built,” Habboo explains. Their approach to authenticity shaped the production, opting for a single-camera setup that mirrored the vlog-style intimacy of their previous work. “I didn’t realize we were filming at times,” she says, noting that the lack of multiple cameras allowed for candid, unfiltered moments.

“We wanted to show everything—no edits, no holds. If there were three cameras, it would feel staged,” Laing adds. “Even the intense parts stayed in because we made a pact. Holding anything back would mean missing the point.”

The couple’s dynamic is evident in their differing perspectives on privacy. While Habboo is more instinctively protective, Laing leans toward openness. “Sometimes I’m the one saying ‘I’m not doing this’,” she admits, recalling moments of hesitation. “Jamie always insisted on keeping it all, which was terrifying at first.” Over time, however, the pair found the balance worked. Listeners embraced the raw honesty, feeling a sense of camaraderie. “It made them feel less alone,” Habboo notes, reinforcing their decision to stay true to their style.

Embracing this level of exposure has its challenges. Laing acknowledges that “thick skin” is essential, a lesson he’s learned over time. Habboo, meanwhile, is still refining her approach. “People can be harsh,” she says, referencing sharp critiques about her appearance. “They question my eyebrows, my look—what will they say when I’m pregnant?” Despite the scrutiny, the couple remains steadfast. “We wanted to create something real,” Habboo concludes. “In today’s world, authenticity is rare, and we wanted to share our truth.”
